    Default a few questions

    i have a few questions about scaping my aquarium;

    -is a 4 gallon tank okey to breed shrimps? i know it's allways better to count on a larger tank, but is it problem free to breed the following : blue bee's , crs , tigers ans white pearls?

    -for the soil i would ask you guys what soil do you prefer? i heard that Ada amazonia and Akadama bonsai were very good. or are there better soils to use?

    -i would use the old sea mud powder (mosura), is it better to use a layer underneath the soil? or above the soil ?

    does anyone have other tips? i would like to hear

    For CRS i would suggest to keep a tank of atleast 12 - 14 Gallons, the smaller the aquarium the more difficult it is to control the water parameters, CRS are not very tolerant to changes.

    I dont have experience with Akadama Bonsai soil , ADA Amazonia is good but you will hve to cycle the tank for atleast 4 weeks with massive water changes done in those 4 weeks to get rid of excess nutrients etc which it puts into the water column

    Mosura old sea mud powder needs to be sprinkled underneath the substrate, after 6 months you can dose as prescribed into the water.

    Additional Tips: Put a very good filter, A canister filter is best and pack it with a lot of biological media
    Regards

    I think that:

    1. Blue Bee or White Pearls suit better to this small tank. I'd try the Blue bee.
    2. Akadma gravel is good for a breeding tank. If you like to have many plants, you may also chose ADA (but it's not that cheap)
    3. The mud powder has to be put under the soil, I guess
    4. give this tank enough time to cycle (min. 4 weeks) - this minimizes risks and problems.

    so actually some shrimps don't find a small tank a problem and others do?

    does the blue tiger shrimp also wants a larger tank just like the crs ?

    I would think 10+ gallons would be best for breeding
