this hair looking algae............help

how do you get rid of this hair looking algae growing on my plants...i thought once i trimmed my plants it would go away but its growing on my plants again....should i just leave it or do something about it? it makes my tank look ugly...

yamato/amano shrimp
water changes
flourish excel dosing
cutting light in half
manually scrubbing rocks and glass daily

you will eventually win.
