Default Is this normal CBS behavior?

I have a berried CBS. I'm not sure how long she's been berried. At least a couple weeks.

The tank has a couple charcoal bamboo tubes, similar to the "breeding tubes" people buy.

For the last two days she's been hiding out in one of them and won't come out. Any time another shrimp tries to go inside or hangs around the opening she chases them away.

I've never seen this type of behavior before in my shrimp. Does this mean her eggs are about to hatch and she's trying to make a safe place for them to hatch at? Something else?

They typically hide shortly before they give birth but I haven't really heard specifics about them getting territorial during that period.

Just about every other female animal on the planet does so when giving birth though so I guess it wouldn't be a shock if true.

same to me, usually berried shrimps are hiding not only when giving birth but nearly during whole period. it is probably it is their natural behaviour in order to avoid contact with fish and other predators.

If she's hiding that means the eggs are about to hatch if as you said she have been carrying it for few weeks. I have witnessed them stay in one spot for the whole day when eggs are hatching.
