    hello bellurius,

Long algae are starting to grow when few things can be wrong
first check the co2 level in the tank , if its to low this can be a '' trigger '' to start growing. adjust the level.
alsow the waterflow in your tank cant be to less check if you get a good circulation in your tank with not to mutch death spots.
your water will be alsow very poor in nutricions, this means to less NO3, PO4 and micro elements. check your watervalues on this.
dont forget that your light determins the need for nutricions of your plants, check if your light is not to bright or to mutch for the volume of the water.
it can be a sign that your soil start to be poor on nutricions, give furteliser (in your other tank you give, and no problems!)
try to take as mutch algue as you can and take dead leaves away, plus put your plants in a bath with 19 parts water and 1 part bleach for 2 or 3 minutes ,not longer, and later wash them good in water with a lot of waterconditioner, this to neutrelize the chlore ,and let them lay in this for some time.
put your plants back in and it can be alsow usefull to use some easy carbo from easy life or Seachem Flourish Excel.
believe me like this you will be again algue free in no time

    hi! thanks for the answer..

Are u telling me that i have to fertilize my tank also with CRS in it?

Im a little scared about this because i read some thread that says that they are very dangerous for shrimps..

I have the seachem product at home but i use them only for the 100litres planted-tank..I have to start also in my CRS tank in ur opinion?

I mean, to increase microelements i dont need only excel..what else??

    Sry for my English!! LOl
And for Co2 i havent in this tank i have to add it?? or adding Excel once a week is enough?

yes fertulize your water with shrimps in it, but not the regular dosis, try building up with the half.
here is a link on the forum about flourish excel so you know how other people do this http://www.shrimpnow.com/forums/show...l-safe-for-CRS
i use just a plant soil and co2
maybe its good to renew your soil by setting up again your tank, how old is your tank by the way?
or top of half of your soil and renew this like some people do, but i would place my crs in another tank and setup again my tank with a new soil and fertulizer in the soil. and put the half of old water in and rest new water, clean the plants and tank from algue and restart if your tank is getting old.
or if not maybe find some fertulizer sticks to put in the soil with your plants.
check your co2 level with a co2 tester in your tank (this color test who are hanging constantly in your tank) and decide if you need a co2 system ,if you are all the time with to less co2 and you are adding flourish then i would installa co2 system, but the choice is yours.
flourish will be enough for your micro elements
