suggestion ecco pro or classic?

hi, can anyone please give me suggestion on which external filter is best for 4ft shrimp tank?
eheim eddo pro or classic!!!

i am in confused which one to go for....

please help....

if you have the budget then go to eheim ecco pro because it is an energy saver. but classic will do fine. if you buy this external filters don't forget to put an sponge accessories.

The classic version has no media tray. The media goes directly into the canister, and there is no possibility of media bypass.
The Ecco pro uses a pull out media basket, and while not nearly as bad as some other canisters, may have some media bypass.
The Ecco pros, in my experience any way, seem to have less power than their classic counterparts.
However, the Ecco pro has self priming, and cleaning the media is very easy. I've had both and despite a couple drawbacks, I'd still elect to buy the Ecco Pro. Both taps on the top of the pro is a nice touch, much easier than the double tap configuration on the classic canisters.

I was also between the two and at the end went with the Ecco Pro. The energy it needs to run is low and thus worth the extra cost... also the pros mentioned above by onefang.

For a 4 litre tank which is probably about 600 litres you probably need a Eheim 2075 Professional 3 600? I think the flow is adjustable to. Most people recommend 10xflow per litre.
