    Default Shrimps on leaving

    Hi fellow shrimpers,

I'm about to go out of town for a week and I'm kinda worry about my shrimps because I don't have anyone to feed my shrimps. So please share your experience here.

How long have you ever leave your shrimps without feeding?
What was your feeding rezim before the leave?
Did you do any preparation before leaving?
Does anything bad happen to the shrimps after you came back?

    Regards.

    NutZilla,
You have nothing to fear. I have left my shrimp unfed for over two weeks with no negative consequences. this is as long as you have a well aged mature tank with lots of bio film to feed off. One week should be no prblem at all. I have had shrimp sent to me that lived in shipping for 28 days! I would just recommend feeding them the day you leave and then enjoy your trip. Do not overfeed because you don't want a water quality issue while you are gone...just normal amount. Good luck and enjoy your trip.

Yes i agreed with Summit MicroFarm, theres nothing to worry about without feeding them for a week. A fully matured tank would have enough feeds for the shrimp to gaze upon.
One thing to note is the water parameters when you're gone.
