Default UV usage for shrimp tanks

As a long-time fish keeper, i know the benefit of UV sterilization as a way of controlling fish disease. Has anyone used UV sterilization to maintain water quality in a shrimp-only tank?

I have used it for a Sulawesi Goldflake shrimp tank (caridina spinata), with no negative results. However, I would suggest it for quarantine tanks mostly, or for new arrived batches. If you use it on your regular shrimp tank and give away your offspring, others may have problems keeping them alive.
it is not about being right or wrong. it is about learning!
