I can confirm the video is real. Two years ago i had a young shrimp with half body (right or left, don't remember) all black (BT0) and the other side all transparent. Unfortunately, i don't do it a photo of the specimen and died when was young.

Yes its real, I could not believe it when I first saw it. The split is a perfect line down the middle. Not sure what to do with it yet? I might just throw it in a show tank or something. I try and take a better video when It gets a little bigger.

Thanks for posting, this shrimp is called 'halfsider' (halbseiter) in Germany, and it relies on mutation while the cells have been split to multiply. It is also known from other breedings, as birds: http://www.standardwellensittichzuch.../artikel7.html

thanks imke_j that parakeet is pretty crazy. So I guess i should not cull this little guy out? Maybe keep him with a group of CBS or Snow whites??
