Nice and Lovely.
wat are the tank specs/filtration and other pls mention.
wat are u planning to house?

Thank you for the kind words. Here are some specs.....
Tall 16 gallon "Bowfront" with glass top
AquaClear 150 with fluval intake sponge
Panorama Pro LED Module 24v-19watt 12k white
Medium size Mogani driftwood
Fluval Shrimp Stratum
Java Moss and Moss Ball
Am currently housing low grade Crystal Reds and Crystal Blacks!

nice start. lets wait for the masters to comment and suggest with ur current setup. ive red that FSS is not a good substrate but i dont have the position to say about it coz i ddnt try it yet.

I think that some people have problems with it not buffering the water as well as AS or akadama. As long as you dont have super hard water with high ph I think it will work just fine for you. Also lower grade crystals are a little hardier than the high grade shrimp so you should be ok there as well. BTW nice start with the tank.

Thanks nilocg. So far i really have no complaints with the FSS except my Gh is a bit high but not sure that its any fault of the stratum. It has been buffering quite well for me and my water. with a 30% water change yesterday, this is where my parameters stand:
Temperature: 70F
Ph: 6.5
Ammonia: 0
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: between 0.0-5.0
Kh: 2
Gh: between 6-11

Shwew! They seem to be happy. And any day now I should have little shrimplets running around thanks to my berried female!!!!!

congrats. post some of the pics.

I will do my best Sir!
