Default Cooling fan - UK summer only!

    Hi,

My tank temp crept up to 26 this summer during a warm spell and i have no way of cooling the water back down to the 22-23 degree i like to keep it at.

I know there are chiller units available but they are very expensive +£200 and i think they would be overkill for the UK summer temps. I don't want to spend this kind of money for occasional use.

Has anyone had any experience with using the small aquatic fans that clip onto the side of the tank? Most claim to be able to reduce temp by upto 3 degrees F, but do they actually work?

    Thanks,

    Mike.

I had the same problem in my shrimp room. I bought a portable air con unit from ebay for about £50, it done the job perfectly.
When i die make sure my wife sells my shrimp for what they are worth, not what i told her they are worth.
