    Default My bath Cardinal Shrimp

    Hello everyone, I present the new tank dedicated to the Caridina sulawesiane.
    The tank is 100 l gross where I mounted an external filter (loaded with wool, sponges, razor clams and coral sand) and an air filter;
    Heater 150 W;
    The fund is about 2 cm (Dennerle Sulawesi);
    I used to furnish three limestone rocks and a stone dragon (split into multiple parts) where the plants have been linked. We still lack a wood that will be placed on top of the hill where the atteccherò Vesicularia. For now (twelve days of ripening) the conductivity is 235 and the pH is 8.3 to lights. The rest I measure at the end of maturation prior to insertion of Dennerle so you can make any corrections. We accept tips. Hello to everyone.

    Ciao Maxgl68, really nice set up.
    It is not too high the pH?... attention with the heather, it could boil the cardinals. If you have a lid I would use 100W heather in 100L.

    Thank you!
    For the pH should be kept between the Dennerle 7.5 to 8.5.
    The values of Lake Matano and 'pH 8.6 - 29.5 temperature.
    My pH will drop 'when I'll have' entered the trunk with Vesicularia.
    For the heater because I preferred to be 150 'works better. The temperature prior to insertion of Dennerle will 'to 28 degrees.

    Ok, nice that you are giving them the matano lake conditions but I suggested you a lower pH because I guess your cardinas are captive breed, isn't it?, as far as I know, private breeders (in south Italy) use ph around 8 and 28 degrees... anyway I think they will be happier with higer temperature and pH.

    Cheers

    I confirm! In Italy the majority of breeders have the pH from 7.7 to 8, conductivity '350 to 400 us.
