    Default copper proteinate?

I just bought some sparina algae discs and just found out they have copper proteinate listed as one of the ingredients.

Just fed one to my small snails, and they are not acting right which leads me to ask- will it poison my shrimp if fed to them? Do I need to just throw the bag out? I hate to waste the money, but I'd rather do that than have all my shrimp become ill or worse.

    2) Can anyone recommend an alternative food pellet/disc that has no copper if I need to go that way?
