Baby CRS

I have babies !!! lots of them !!! very hard to take a picture of but i will keep on trying ...i also have cherry babies today hehehe,

None for months them lots all at once .

Congratulations grandad!

Keep them safe, look after them well, and perhaps when they grow up they will have some amazing markings.

To be honest iv no idea how much there are in the tank because the tank is planted and there is lots of hiding places ...the most ive seen at once was 7 .

Good news is i have 3 more berried CRS and 1 berried CBS .

Later after dinner i will sit down with the camera and feed them a few shrimp pellets and i will post the pics here .

Well i didnt have much luck with them ,i think most of them died

Tank peramiters are

ph 7 was nearly 8 when i had the baby shrimp
Kh 4 was 8 or 9 before
Gh 6 was over 11 before

other reading are and were zero .

to hard water for baby shrimp .

i Have 1 left from the old batch but its not really growing .

Good news is i notice 1 new baby crs yesterday so fingers crossed .

your PH, KH,GH all was not good to CRS. babies shrimp cannot tolorate swing water parm soo much. stable water parm is the key. adding powder food to the tank help babies.

Yeah i know

my water was perfect before all the ice and snow melted ...problem was i took it for granted the water was the same so i didnt check it as much as should have ,now i am checking it every few days .

Lesson learned .
