It's already been announced on this thread that the Aura Blue is a complete new species.
Hey Ecalyte, I finally joined this forum! Haha!
I agree. We should be trying to figure out how to breed these beauties first. I guess the only practical purpose of trying to figure out the actual species of the Aura blue is to prevent crossbreeding it with related species.
But since the farmers ain't telling, I'm keeping them with taiwan bees for now. If I get some funky mix, then we'll know I guess.

You're keeping yours with CRS if I recalled?

I'm trying to get a tank ready for Aura Blues, and all I know is that some people keep them under similar conditions as CRS. Are CRS parameters optimal for breeding the Aura Blue? Thanks in advance!

    GH?
    KH?
    pH?
    TDS?
I have a batch that has turned bluer then the new batch I got. So I guess my water should be pretty good for them.

I have my Auras in PH 6.8, TDS around 100-150, GH 4, KH 0. I also do EI dosing with CO2 dosing as well.

Just an observation, could you let him know the temperature as well? It seems that temperature, GH and TDS values are the most important, pH around 7 is fine. KH i have no experience ><

I have 4 from the previous batch from GC in my office, keeping them with blue pearls and sakura as I don't have a spare tank.
So far nothing happen as I think they are all females.
