Would a Uv sterilizer be beneficial in a Shrimp Tank?

Hi i was thinking of putting a Uv sterilizer for my tank setup. What are your thoughts on this? How many of ya run a Uv sterilizer on your setup?

From my understanding UV sterilizer is really only good for green water algae because water+algae passes through it and would not work on something like hair algae.

I run a stand alone UV sterilizer for several hours after the tank is disrupted, such as when I rinse my canister filter media, vacuum gravel, replant or relocate wood. the idea is organisms and particulates normally not found midwater are being killed by the UV before they can lower your shrimps immunities or cause them any other harm.
