Hi everybody,
I practise me a bit in Aquascaping, especially with mosses. I want to show you such an experiment by reference to a 25l tank with Orange Tail Tiger Shrimp.
Basic information:
- energy saver Lamp 18W, Daylight, 12 hours per day
- selfmade wooden case for the lamp with looking glass as reflectors
- thick sponge filter at the back, behind are ceramic tubules (Siporax) and a little electric pump
- (thermometer)
- oxydator
- Discus Mineral or other products to increase hardness of the water to change (I change about 40% every third day)
- no CO2 installation, no plant nutrients or other additions
Water:
pH 7,4
temp 70-75°F
conductivity ~350µS/cm
Decoration equipment:
- sand mixture (I simply poured all the rests of sand in different colours I had together)
- stones from the Donau (river)
- beech leaves (it's just deco, because no animal feeds it)
Plants:
- Monosolenium tenerum
- Riccia rhenana
- Riccardia chamaedryfolia ("Coral Pellia")
- Vesicularia sp.
- Lomariopsis lineata
- Utricularia gibba
Livestock:
- Orange Tiger shrimps
- some little Snails (Planorbidae)
Food:
- done food, rice bran etc. (once a day a bit)
- Artemia, mosquito larvae and so on (once a week a bit)
- stinging nettle leaves (always available)
- walnut leaves (always available)
