    Talking Tiger Valley 2.0

My new tanks finally arrived after four weeks of waiting! They were produced on my demand with glass coverage.

I will set up one for my Tiger / Supertiger today before leaving for a holiday tomorrow. My external canister has been running since my former tank has been broken - and I'll re-use it as well as the gravel.

    Dimensions:
    80 cm width
    30 cm depth
    35 cm height
    Glass is 6mm

Cross your fingers that this time I'll have no bad luck

    Default Tiger Valley Update 03-10-2010

After returning from my holidays I found my new tank still waterproof, which made me feel good! Since the canister filter has been running without break, I have had no bacteria bloom.

I re-used the Ebi Gold soil from the former tank. I don't care how active it still is, because my Tiger live in tap water. I added some roots with moss and bamboo leaves. Like the former set up, this is a simple breeding tank only with no aqua-scaping efforts. My gain is to keep the shrimp healthy and make them breed. After having 150-200 shrimp; I'll do selection and cross special couples in 2oL Tetra tanks, which look best.

Filtration is done with external Eheim 2224 and air-driven under-gravel filter in one corner.

Excuse the losy shots; I have taken them with my mobile.

Thanks for the compliments. Hopefully I can fetch my camera and take some close up from the Tigers soon - I have a very nice bluish female, some berried and juveniles. It's good to see that thing are going better now

@countcoco: I will write both here and on my blog about this tank; but shrimpnow is first choice and I will do brand-new updates here.
