Hello all,
I have been quietly reading all the post in this forum, so here's my first post. I hope to share and learn from all of you here.
I have been keeping sulawesi shrimps since feb 2009, and have definitely went through all the pain and joy of keepiing them.
This is my current tank.

It was setup in Jan 2010. I positioned it on the bay window, so that it gets all the morning sun. Big pieces of coral chips are hidden under the river pebbles, so you don't see them. There is only a small hanging waterfall filter, and an airpump with 2 airstone on the 2 ends of the tank.
Parameters:
Temp: 28 to 30 degree
PH: 8.5
Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrite : 0
GH and TDS: Don't have measuring kit.
Inhabitants:
Crypt Wentii
5 Golden Rabbit snails
15 Yellow Rabbit snails (from initial 3)
2 Orange Rabbit snails (New aquisitions)
20 Caridina Dennerli
5 Caridina Tigri
5 Caridina Striata
Lots of small tiny ramhorns snails and water fleas and seed shrimps.
Some Cherry shrimps that were the original inhabitants.
All the rocks and even glass surface is growing a layer of nice green algae.

The rocks are positioned to have crevices for the shrimps to hide, and yet easy for me to view them. The shrimps fight for the prime real estate space.

Smaller shrimps are relegated to the crypt patch, and the "wooden tree"

The rabbit snails just crawl everywhere, especially if I throw in some algae chips

Some of the shrimps are berried. I hope they give birth soon.

Thanks for viewing
