Wonderful pictures. I really like to see a swarm of these beautiful creatures you have there. How did you create the rock crevices for the shrimps in the first picture?

The rock comes like that at the store. I put it in my outdoor pond for a month it covered with green algae.

Hahaha, do you have to replenish the algae by bringing it out to the pond often? I would think you would have more rocks in the pond waiting to come to your tank.

Oh I have a lot of lace rocks in my outdoor pond. I saw you mentioned that you put the tank at the windows, that is a good idea to grow some algae. I also added shirakura microorganism powder and used almond leaves cultured in my outdoor pond.

I think there are pros and cons of putting a tank near the window. It can get really hot. And algae can grow out of control. Some algae which snails and shrimps don't eat, such as Cladophora, is a big headache. The good thing is that I don't have to move rocks and rescape the tank, and the shrimps have established a more "permanent" home.
Anyway, I found that Caridina Striata is really aggressive, having slightly bigger claws then Caridina Dennerli and Caridina Tigri. They get the best choice of crevices.
