    Hi shrimpsie,

I once had triops in a separate tank and they are aggressive. They will probably kill and eat shrimp on several occasions. I've read they try to eat everything that's smaller than them, even fish.

It's best to keep them in a separate tank. I'm playing with the idea of a shallow triops tank that can be drained and filled again whenever needed to simulate their environment.

ive had these guys for awhile. I'd say triops are good if you want "low matinance temporary" pets. They are pretty cool I have albino cancs, and t-long and t-long black sp. they are very hardy and lay eggs everyday so you don't need worry about buying more eggs after they die out. in the long run I'd say shrimp are better because you can keep nice plants and they won't be devoured. Plus shrimps have a longer lifespan as to 2-3 months which I've kept mine alive for.
