I find My Shrimp attack some food faster than others, does this mean they are just used to a certain type or one food is better than another? (considering that they are not starving)

Ie: Can you judge a food by how fast the shrimp attack it?

Purchased a pot the other day, only problem I'm finding is that the little pellets take a moment to sink and end up getting caught up in my plants

After reading all the posts on Shirakura Edi Dama I have just ordered myself some!
I am feeding my shrimps with Sera Shrimps Natural and they just love it:

You can stop the water circulation while feeding, pellets will sink faster.

I also feed them with Tetra Prima granules (1-2 times a week) and Dajana Pet spirulina wafers

Few days ago I boiled some lettuce leaves and they loved it. Didn't take a photo

I go through phases but currently my favourite is Beni Bachi. I think aquarium shrimp are massively over fed so I feed tannin and bacterial based foods mainly e.g. BeeMax and Black Control.
When i die make sure my wife sells my shrimp for what they are worth, not what i told her they are worth.

I don't think so. If you let a kid choose between McDonalds and salad, you know which one will be picked. It doesn't mean it's good for the kid. Same thing with any animal in general. Some food make good appetite, some make animal grow faster, some make them live longer. So it also depends a lot on your definition of "good food". If you feed more protein to shrimp, they will grow faster, but doesn't mean they're healthier.

I worked briefly in shrimp food industry some 20 years ago, what commercial shrimp farmers care the most is the feed/meat conversion rate (such as 1kg of food converts to 0.5kg of shrimp to be sold). They don't want healthy shrimp, they just want to sell them faster with minimum cost. (btw, these are shrimp as food, not as friend ;-)

Crush Ramhorn snails are the best. It's live food that can be kept with CRS and crush whenever food is needed.
