Hi Mordaki , I have just joined the site, I do not have any shrimp tanks yet but am hoping to fill a spare 10g soon.
I live in Surrey near Heathrow, I have only found 1 LFS which stock shrimp , Cherries and Tigers but they seem a little pricey Tiger = £35 each. Trying to learn as much as I can about these little fellas as I know my water is very hard PH 8.4.
Unfortunately I do not know anyone near me who keep or breed shrimp so this site is an invaluable source for info.

Hello Mordaki.
I'm in the UK as well (Midlands) but tend to import most of my shrimp rather than getting them from UK stores.
You wont see me posting that often though, as I am usually a bit too busy with other commitments.

I'm also in UK (suburbs of London). A lot of the LFS around me can order in shrimps, but few carry them in stock and when they do they are all females so that you can not breed them.
I got most of my current stock from aquabid (actually from Xema, who is a moderator on here.)

Brand new here -- into marines - breed daphnia and love shrimp which want to get more into ie tanks etc
see my intro here, based south london
