Default co2 that runs on electricity or compressed co2?

as above... which one is better for a planted tank with CRS?

are there any possible side effects from the co2 that runs on electricity?

Can you explain the CO2 on electricity? I'm not sure what kind of setup you mean. I can't visualize it.

It is using carbon piece as sort of like electrode and the carbon needs to be replaced when wear out.

It is most likely the Carbo-plus co2 system, or similar. I tried to post a link, but couldn't, just google it. I wouldn't use it. It strips the KH of your water to make co2, and I don't think your shrimp will like the varying hardness.

I've heard of carbo-plus. I'd stay away from it and go with pressurized.

    Exclamation

dont use it this things are nothing but trouble, they have some minour difficulties with this product, maybe the newer generation will be better but i dont think so: water, electricity and carbon, give you the same effect with kh as salt, like a charging car battery! so there you go
