*Red* Tiger Shrimps (photos)!!!!!

Some of my Tiger shrimps have changed colour over a period of weeks gradually!! I have been feeding them Tetrapro color crisps in the attempt to enhance their colour but they turn red!! Closer look, one can see that they have developed more prominent red pigmentations on their exoskeleton whilst their body remain transparent! Has anyone experience this before? They are ever so active and lifely so I don't think they are diseased or dying...

I believe that food definitely has an impact on the coloration of shrimp; however, I've never seen Tigers that red before. I'd observe them and see if the color stays and passes on to their offspring.

Beautiful shrimps with very attractive bold coloration.
I'll try the Tetrapro color crisps for my CRS and RCS. I'll let you know if I notice any colour enhancement. Wish the color crisps work with my shimps too

Nice enhanced colour. Just curious, do you need to constantly feed this stuff inorder to maintain or enhanced it further or just one time will do?

I fed them daily with the colour food for about 1 month then stop. Their red colour persisted for several weeks after I stop feeding them the colour food.

Now they are all back to their original colouration. I personally dislike the red colour. The original colour is much nicer! I thought the colour food could enhance the dark bands but it didn't but instead making them turned red!

There are no shrimp death as a result of colour change as someone suggested.

It looks weird but it's quite nice. Who knows you could have breed a 'new' species of tiger shrimps .

Ya man, I also thought u have discovered a new breed until u mentioned they turn back to their original color after stop feeding.
