I plan to either introduce these into my mixed 1.5ft tank of cardinals/white orchids or set up a 1ft nano.So I will like to enquire anyone with the experience with this shrimp for help. Thanks in advance. :)

Really nice shrimp, unfortunately I can't help you, but I am also interested in getting info about them.
Keep us informed about the progress of your "tigri" :)

Thanks for the motivation aqua-fish!
Well did some research n here's what I have gathered.
Parameters=Ph: 7.8-8.4,Gh:4-9,kH:2-6 ,NO4:0,NO2:0,NO3:<10
Maybe related to C.spongicola,wolterckae.
Extremely shy and easily shocked( observing from LFS)
Dim lighting preferred.
Can die upon transfer:1) transferred from bag to tank with net, died instantly!
2) Bag shake abit, 1 flipped n died.
Prefers to Hide under stuff(eg:rock cracks, under sponge filter base, instead of clinging onto side),so my guess their natural habitat they live in cracks?
From all this info I gathered I guess they need to be kept separately in another tank as I guess they maybe easily bullied by other Wesi shrimp.
Anyone have more info, please add. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I agree with the beauty of this species.
We must assume that many species of Sulawesi are very delicate and difficult environment in the tank for several reasons. One problem with most 'big' relaying after the capture of shrimp that were not done properly. In other words, the local catch and make the housing along with other crabs from other lakes, and water values are not suitable for all species caught. The housing make it for about a week and should be at least twenty days, then send. The shipment to various destinations can 'last for several days. Finally arriving at their destination where they should be relayed back, and instead at least in my country, did not immediately putting them on the market. Very often kept in unsuitable values. For most species 'delicate' certain death regardless of the biotype that we have created for them.
To me this and 'the main reason for the sudden deaths. At the moment there are breeders that I have been able to reproduce this shrimp. If you want to play groped my counsel, 'to set up a tank just for them with many hiding places, full of rocks. What is most 'important (before buying) you need to check, if there' as possible, 'to know:
1. as they relayed
2. How long have relayed
3. water values of housing
4. the temperature of the housing
The thing that should be considered that the shrimp sulawesiani not withstand sudden changes in values. Prior to insertion in the tank must have a tough acclimation to several hours, so as to give the values of the tank gradually.

Hi maxgl68
Thanks for the info. Currently the Sulawesi other than cardinals are imported. As for parameters I only know based on LFS. Sad to say u r right, no matter how perfectly close the setup is to their natural habitat, theres no way we can prevent bad relaying.
When u say several hours of acclimatizing is 4hrs enough? I do dripped into bag 3sec/1drop.
Thanks again

Hi,
acclimatization is good. Do not measure the values of water transport because 'polluted and out parameters.
