Is there some strategy in breeding CRS? What type to get finally?
Full white shrimp? Only red head?
It seems like "more vibrant white=better CRS" So where are you guys breeding them? ;)

I will buy it if a mosura is $US800 to $US1000. You sure is that cheap now?

Recently, saw a mosura for sales at US$1800, it has small red patches on body, so, not a high end White Body. Even at this price, it is labelled as "Year End Offer". :D

Geez, fruitpie, you guys are crazy... I can barely get myself to spend a few bucks on a few low grade CRS. lol lol You must be in a really good profession to be able to afford such high grades.

there really isnt any use to buy any mosura CRS, imo..as long as u can get a mosura offspring that carries the gene then its good enough. also the mosura isnt yet a true breed yet, it still needs to be refined more.

I am not, it is just a too good price to be missed if it is US$1000. :D

This is my humble mosura.
You can refer back to the japanese Red Bee Shrimp magazine Vol. 1 from 3 years ago, pg 65, a picture of the very first mosura from Mr. Nanba
According to miss Uyama from J-shrimp, a mosura has red eyes, shorter red head region and they usually have maros. Their growth rate is slower than usual crs, but they will still reach the normal size.

Very nice!!! Thick white, good genes. But i feel this is hinomaru rather then a mosura. A mosura have pure white body, your crs have a no entry sign, so i feel it is a hinomaru. Anyway, its nice to own such a high grade crs, must have cost you a bomb!!!!

Well, accordingly, as described above, Mosura doesn't necessarily have white bodies.

Zhima, what plants do you use? HC?
I saw a few string of hair algae too, do you use CO2?
Do CRS eat that hair algae?

Here's a picture I found online (it is not a shrimp I own). I am of course referring to the one on the left:

I still prefer the peppermint candy striping over an all white or all red CRS. Much better contrast...

yup, HC, co2, no they don't eat those hair algae, you have to kill the algae with excel first.

Bad digital camera? In any event, those are still high grade mosuras. Very $$$ and not worth their weight in gold... at least, not to me.

Well other than expensive, I still like those CRS with their red band...
