Hi everyone!

I've been keeping red cherries in my discus planted tank and other planted tanks as well. However I brave myself to try CRS. So after cycled a new tank, I started to keep CRS this week in a shrimp planted tank.

It's quite a challenge for I live in Jakarta, Indonesia where the water is hard & the temperature is warm. Fortunately I managed to keep the temp down to 26 - 27 C using fan. Unfortunately it's also infested with gammarus (I saw two of them yesterday) :bigcry: And I'm still looking for ways to get rid of them that's safe for the CRS.

I look forward to learn keeping & breeding CRS from you :)

So far the shrimps live at that temp.

The problems are gammarus, planaria & worms :(

I feel that shrimp only tank is harder than fish tank!

Als,
Don't give up! Sometimes it takes some time for your tank to really mature. Often when it does, the shrimp gets so large that it begins to outcompete the scuds and planaria. Be VERY carefule to not overfeed. Feed less food than you think is necessary. I keep my shrimp hungry and my colonies do very well.
