I adore the bumble bees.
Is the major difference between marigold and acorn how far the black comes up the shell?

They're awesome! Are they bred-variety or wildcaught? I've heard it's not an easy thing to reproduce them at aquariums

I think so... Yes. Hehe. I just called it Marigold because it's almost full yellow except for a very tiny black print in its tip.

Nice! The Spanish are unlike any I've ever seen for sale. What we see in stores around here are quite colorless, a dirty brown or green. Thanks for sharing the pics of them in the wild.

Are these names you made up yourself, or are they common names in the community?

That is sad Fento. Have you tried to trek the brackish creeks and rivers there in Espana? I like your flag and the Neritina that naturally represent your country. I think these little Spanish Nerites are left as evidence that you guys were once here before in the Las Islas Felipinas. ;)

I just made them up SS. The small community here where these can be found just call these "sihi" and is their dish when they can't buy chicken. Hehe. In my treks I see many of their shells piled as garbage outside their small huts.
At first I searched the net for their names and the only ones I see that are similar to what I have are the Zebras and the name Tracked which look a little like what I have. The Tricolor name came up in the net but they don't look like these that I have but I still kept the name as it is descriptive of them. I wanted to change its name to German Nerites as these have the colors Red, Black and Yellow like the German flag but the Black is in the middle and it is usually tracked. What do you suggest? In naming them, I just try to be as descriptive as possible. ;)

Thank you for posting this!! They are gorgeous. Are they the freshwater/brackish water nerites like in your other post? Do you know of a website that lists most/all of the freshwater/brackish water nerites with pics and names? Or a book with them in it? I've looked all over the web and only find bits and pieces and they are are often mis-named.
