I think my Blue tiger OE got sick. yesterday I found 2 of them are sitting on the bottom acting still. the transparent part of their body turn white.:embarasse

on the picture the one to the left is the ill one, in comparision to the healthy one to the right, its body colour turned creamy, less blue.

One shrimp died already, another one is still alive, but dosent look good. I am afraid the disease will spread all over the shrimps in the same tank.

does anyone here can tell me what kind of disease it is? what should I do now? is it too late to isolate the sick shrimp? Thanks alot!4849

Did you keep them for longer time? And do you only top off evaporated water?

Very likely that this is a bacterial infection, please read here (http://www.shrimpnow.com/content.php/277-shrimp-bacterial-infection-paraguard).

Thank you very much for your fast respond, imke_j, I have being keeping my shirmp for 2 months. I seldom change the water since some shrimp died after water change everytime.
I just read the link it seems most likely bacterial infection:-( Thanks again.
This happened a few days after i fed them frozen brine shrimp.

2 days after I lost 1 male blue tiger OE and 1 male yellow fire (neocaridina heteropoda.)
It seems the female blue tigers recovered by themselves.
Another male blue tiger is not looking well...
I add 2 pieces big katappa leaves to my 54L tank.
After i did 20% water change, 2 female blue tigers moulted and mated, one of which appeared sick before. now it is berrying eggs but its colour has changed to unpleasantly grey and brown.
(I cannot do 80% water change according to the method coz i dont have the prepared water)
I also reduced the temperature to 22 degree celcius(was 24-25 before).
i have not use any medication so far to see if they can recover by themselves.
I think I have fed them too much before, now i feed them little food and feed them with beta-glucans twice a day. (was feeding them with this twice a week before)...
