Hey thanks for all the positive comment...Me also quite a newbie...Just wanted to keep this 1ft tank as low maintance and wanted a better presentation and the most of all,a better looking home for my precious shrimps that i'm going to keep...

Thanks and Regards

I find the rocks placed too straight up. Other than that, I find good potential in this tank!!! :D :D

Hee..hee...i have tried not to straighten the rock arrangement .......But that's the max i can tilt the rocks and that's explain why i got such a thick base of graval...there's not base fert some more...

Also kind of like the dw when i saw it at na...so just bought it and than tied my excess nana onto it...The dw purpose was to hide the internal filter...Will be adding more erect moss onto the ground, than i will create another taiwan moss wall on the left.....Maybe another wall on the right perhaps???

I have done some rescape for my 1ft nano shrimp tank. The change are some minor changes as i have tied more erect moss onto wire mess and place them onto the bare space...
I have also added 6 tiger shrimps to the tank to test the water condition.I have added a profantic fan to keep the temperature down.Added a mini thermometer to moniter the temperature...

Nice and neat setup ...

Add some liquid bacteria to speed up the
tank cycle.

Wah seh!

Thats a very nice and small tank! should be quite low maintenance bah?

you mentioned that the filter is 300l/hr?

I thought thats quite a high flow rate? Do we need such a high flow rate for a 1x1x1 tank?

Please post more pics when the tank is mature for us to enjoy!!

Cheers!

After 22days of impatient waiting and thinking,my tanks is finally ready to house shrimps ........
The tank was intinally housing 5 tiger shrimps that i have used to test the water parameter. After 2 days in the tanks, all the tiger shrimps die off...Than there was only a lonaly oto inside the tank..

18 days later, was shopping at NA & CTA for better ideas to rescape all my Tanks...Than i got to know that NA was selling their Cherries at $5 for 10 pcs....Than i got 10 pcs thinking of getting them to test my 1ft cube water parameter again...Than pass by CTA and saw his cheeries was dammed red...So i got another 4 pcs from there...

Than 2 days later, was around clementi area and than decided to pay a visit...
From there,i was attracted to a bag of 20 bee shrimps which cost only $7...There are 2 pregnent shrimps inside!!!!!Additional Bonus!!!

Next item that caught my attention was the Grade 2 CRS which cost $10 per pcs...Than my thought was....What the hack la!!Just try my luck!!!!I got 2 smaller and better looking grade 2 CRs!!

So till now,all the cherries which are inside the tank for3 days are surviving and healthy...
As for the Bee shrimps and 2 CRS which was inside the tank for 1 day, all are surviving execpt for 1 dead while on the way back from ...
Think all the shrimps have aready aclimatised to the tank and all their colour are showing..For the moment,i'm unable to take picture as the digital carmera was not with me...Once i can get my hand on the DC,will post picture to share the joys with the rest of you guys....

i think its a long time before one of your shrimps died, any idea anyway how that cherry died? anyway you do have suffiecient aeration right? why did the other one jump out... hmmm

anyway good luck and may your tank stable soon :) as for me there isn't any casualties so far for 2 weeks already, so tempted to add CRS and diamonds. lol lol

BTW did u dose seachem flourish excel again lately? Try doing a small water change and dont dose any flourish excel this time.

I notice you have 1 KH or less. Try dropping one piece of coral chips....helps buffer the PH increase/drop. Low KH also mean less intake of carbon dioxide and nutrients. Check the Ph before water change and after water change if there is a big increase in PH during your water changes.

According to your low maintance setup better not dose any, i notice my shrimps especially CRS is sensitive to flourish excel....everytime i dose excel(suspect a little overdose + my co2 tank) the CRS looked stress and went into hiding or hanging on to the filter inlet and some cherries start swimming round and round the tank.

Just a suggestion. Hope your tank stabilize soon :)
