Hi,
why do you start again to ask such questions?! You already know the answer and there is no need to ask such a question because we answered it several times in the past. So please tell me what is your intention with such a question?

Hi,
you won't get hybrids because a Caridina species can't cross-breed with a Neocaridina species. There are small but important differences in the anatomy of these shrimps. That is also a reason why they belong to different genera.

Thanks for the question Robert. So please correct me if i'm wrong - any caridina would breed with different caridina and same for neocaridina?

It is not a totally true statement, like Yamato and Bee shrimp will not cross.

And that's because low order vs. high order from the same family?

They are completely different species of different genus, so therefore. One low, other high order form as you write.

Hi, I'm kind of new to this shrimp hobby and I would like to know which shrimps can cross breed with CRS? The reason I am asking is because CRS is very expensive and I do not want them to cross breed. Thanks.

Another question - pardon me if this has been answered before but I'm new here so I might have missed it. We know that CRS, Malayan and Cherry won't cross breed - or am I wrong. But I read somewhere that if you mix different species together in a tank, they just won't breed at all. It is said that in order to breed, you need to put only 1 type of shrimp in a tank. Is this true, or is it just a myth? I am having Malayan and Cherry in my newly setup tank, if I add CRS to it, will the CRS breed? Thanks.

I would say they will. Maybe the offspring is not as much as they would be separated. I have had that problem with green shrimps and crs together.
