I wonder if CRS can leave uncovered tank as CJ can? I have plastic net on tank sides (building moss wall :)), so I'm not sure if they can go out via it. I observed RCS and they can't get higher then water mark is.
Why am I asking... I'm missing some of them. They disappeared without signs

i have had crs leaving the water but only when the tank was very filled up with water,if you lower the water level to a couple of centimeters under the top of the glass i guess they wont be able too leave the water.

what is cj`s?

CJs are Caridina japonica (amano shrimps)

In a good tank condition, they prefer to stay at bottom.

In bad water, they will try to get out, keep the water level lower to prevent them from crawling out and fix the water.

When sudden switch from dark to bright, in small tank case, they may jump out.

They may jump out if darting around the tank under duress or percieved under threat. However this is possible if your tank's water is near the brim.

Normally water level around 1 inch below brim, so may not be possible for them to jump out.
