One tank, 3 aquascapes in 3 years

Hi all,

I suddently discovered this beautiful world of aquascaping back in 2008 and got so addicted to this world. Despite of my daily busy work, I have never stopped keeping plants and fishes.

Here's my first layout "Secret Garden":

Here's the lastest layout just about 4 days now, I decided to redo all the hardscape but this time focus more with driftwoods. If you noticed on right side, I put a rock on driftwood to force keeping sink. It needs time to grow back:

I love that first aquascape, it's beautiful. I like the direction you're going with the driftwood. I might just have to start doing some aquascapes after seeing all the beautiful ones here.

The 2nd one is simple but elegant! Like it! Especially the color of the substrate.
What substrate is it?
