I know that there are fish shows where you can mail in fish and get ribbons if best in show, etc.

Are there shrimp shows as well?

If so, does anyone have any info on them?

Yes, there have been several shows and some are still upcoming, like

Osaka/Japan, Oct. 2011 (shrimp-contest.com)
Naples/Italy, Sept. 2011
Belgium, 2012
Hanover/Germany, 2012
Taipeh/Taiwan, Sept. 2011 (by coolshrimp.com)

Use google for more information :)

Thank you imke! Don't know if I'd ever come close to winning anything, but it sure would be fun to try. :)

None in the USA, I think closest to Illinois would be Japan or Germany

Do you have a website where I can see exact dates for these
Belgium, 2012
Hanover/Germany, 2012

I might take a trip and try to see a show for the 1st time.

Belgium is organized by crevette-passion forum:

Perhaps the organizers come and share some information here, would be highly appreciated

I don't get it. Am I right in thinking with CRS you are trying to breed for as much white as possible, with a little lightning bolt of red? Because the minute you get all white it goes down in value? Am I correct? I'm so confused...
