Hello, I am unable to send pm to other members. Is this because I am too new?
Thank you.

Hi,
in order to use PM, you have to participate with 20 posts or threads. If we believe anyone is doing post stuffing to hit the requirement, we will reset his/her post count to 0 or take other action at our discretion.
best regards
Robert

That sounds very reasonable and I understand why you have this rule.
"Post stuffing" would be...? I assume senseless posting?

First of all, this is not a messaging system or match making website, the main function is forum where information is shared openly.
Secondly, we have to depend on a system to prevent derail of the objective of the forum and not a mod sitting in front of PC to wait for complains of spam then to block the member.
If anyone want to use PM for private purposes and not even bother to make 20 sensible posts, then this is not the place for he/she. If one have no question to ask, no answer to give, no idea to contribute in the forums, I don't see why he/she would ever need to use PM.
And for those who just signup to read posts without making any posts, you are welcome, that simply means you are the ones who want to read only and definately do not need to use PM.
And please use proper spelling and punctuation, I have a hard time understand what you are typing.

Fair statement. Forums are for learning and sharing of info/experience on hobby subject. Stuffing doesn't help, only take up server storage space.
Keep it up.

LMAO you sound like you think there is any prestige in the post count in shrimpnow. lol Reset my post count to zero for all I care. lol

The resetting of posts actually removes some privileges (like pm members) so would be a disadvantage. I would just like to be able to pm people to find out where they are getting their shrimp from so I can get some also. But I can wait ;)
On a side note, I once asked if I could have negative posts...that would be funny :D (not here of course!)

Odd rule. But I guess it works..does that mean I can't receive or reply to PM's sent to me?
Here's a tick on my post count. :)

And you have time to PM? I guess you do not need to PM when you don;t have time to post. :D

hello,
I think its not the time, but you don't have enough threads to post! It's difficult to find some opporunities, where you can add sth. or help somebody. Most members here are already well informed about shrimps and here aren't too many members ;)
greetings, Michael
