Moving crs babies to another tank

How and when do u suggest to do it please?

I've moved young shrimp (cherries in this case) using a turkey baster to suck them up and spit them out. The CRS and Diamonds I recently received from a friend were scooped in a net and dumped unceremoniously in a bag of water. This included several that were only a couple mm long. No apparent casualties.
