Bought this shrimp name as Zebra in a Local Fish Shop...

Was wondering is this so call Zebra?

Anyone can help ?

My guess is, it is Caridina cf. babaulti var. "Stripes" from India.

Shrimps change thier color anytime..
And it very hard for us to name it ID easily..

Hi Jojoe,
this seems to be the Caridina cf. babaulti spp. 'stripes'. Some Germans keep and breed them too, they breed true. They belong to the high order kind, so you can breed them in freshwater. They should breed better in soft water than in hard water, so that is a advantage of them which should help you.

The pregnant females do not show the stripes as clear as males, juveniles or non-pregnant do. It is recommend to use selective breeding to increase the contrast of the stripes to the surrounding colors.

Woo...
Another type of shrimp...
Sometime the color turn darker and with patchy dark... Something like Cherries red patch but it not red color...
Will try to breed it...
