It will drop, if the coral chip is removed.

Monitor the trend, if the raise of PH is too fast, reduce the amount of coral chip to a point the drift is slow.

I am now puting 2 small bag of coral chip in my planted tank. I was using ada soil and CO2 of around 1bps for my planted tank. my ph was 6.4 then drop to 5.5 because of the ada soil and CO2. but after i put the coral chip it increase to Ph of 6.6.

But i heard from people that it is because of my low KH of 2 that cause the big pH drop. Is it if i buffer my KH to 4 or 5 will my pH be stable and not a need to put the coral chip.

Thanks in advance............. :D

Hi GeOff,
if you remove the coral chips, your KH will decrease and the pH will fall further. There is a relationship between the carbonate hardness (KH) and the pH. Your tap water is very soft which means the GH and KH are small. With a KH of 2 fast changes of the pH are possible. This can cause some death among your shrimps. So let the coral chips in the tank, add less CO2 and observe the pH. There should be no need to add so much CO2 to your tank.

regards
Robert

PS Please use proper English to write your posts. I had to correct your posts several times because you use words which are not part of the English language and it was hard to understand what you mean. To use capital letters and real words can't be that hard for you. We have some foreigners here who are not used to your lazy kind of English and which have big problems to translate such a post with a translation software. They don't learn words like "izit" at school and this was or still is the place where they learn English. In the end they loose interest in your posts and you get less help. BTW, we also have a Spell check.
