Hey, so I read that you need at least a 20g tank to breed CRS/CBS well. Is this true of OEBTs as well? Or will they breed in a planted 10g tank?

Thanks!

You can breed them in smaller tanks. I have both CRS and OEBT's breeding in 2.5g tanks. But maintaining water parameter stability is more difficult in smaller tanks.

Tigers like to swim and are sensible to bacterial infections. That's why I would better head for 20 g or more.

Yeah, the bigger the tank. The more easy it is to maintain.

So if you had a 10g tank and a 20g long tank, which one would you put the CRS in and which one would you put the OEBTs in?

The bigger the better ^_^

Yes, the bigger the better for sure, but let's say hypothetically you had an empty 10g and an empty 20g long, what would you do?

I would use the 20gallon as a CRS tank. And the 10 gallon for a OEBT.

My reason is that CRS breed faster than OEBT.

Oh, didn't know that. How long roughly do OEBTs and CRS take to breed?

Thanks for the links!

You're welcome.

Just make sure to post up your tank when you're done with the setup

Good luck to your breeding.
