Hi,
I bought 3 of these "Spike" snails from local fish shop about 2 months ago :D Anyone can help me to identify this snail? I think it's different from "Miner" snail (Clithon sp.)

It is called "Space Snail" in hong kong ^^
I heard they tend to go out of water, but I've never had them myself

I found a picture of that hairy snail in a German web page named mimbon.de

The german name is 'Langhaarschnecke', literally 'long hair snail'.

They are similar, but I don't think they are the same.

Very nice but would not want to grab those with my bare hands :D

Hi, I kept one of the last shown snails. It was no problem to touch it, the spikes are not as stiff as they look like. It doesn't hurt you to touch them and they don't break, too.

I think both of them should bethe same snails. :D
Xema`s picture shows a perfect shell, on the other hand in the first picture showed by Ragn4rok the shell is damaged, not so good.

Right, they're the same snail.
The thorns are soft, but if the snail died, they become hard.
