in that case you can go maybe 3-4 weeks per water change. eheim 2217/prefilter for just a 60 litre tank = awesomeness ;D

Nice the setup. I use to plant alot of plants in my tank, but recent outbreak of hydra made me cleared my tanks and re start all of them. So now everything will be plain and simple.:)

Your TDS is kind of high for a crs breeding tank if the tap water in your area reads at 110. Are you adding fertilizers or mineral supplements?

As far as a TDS range goes, it would be best for you to get that info from a fellow Australian, as different countries use different meters. If your shrimp appear healthy and actively breed in the current parameters, I wouldn't worry about it too much. For my crs tank, I prefer to stay in the 135-165 range for breeding purposes. I personally have never seen a berried female once the TDS goes over 175. It just goes to show that all tanks and shrimp are different.
