Seachem's website lists copper as one of the nutrients in Flourite. Is anyone concerned about this? Is it less dangerous since it is a gravel and not a liquid additive like fertilizer?

I wouldn't worry about it. I've seen many tanks with flourite in them and masses of shrimps (mainly cherry reds).

Copper in the substrate can dissolve into the water column easily in a typical low pH shrimp tank environment. The lower the pH, the more harmful it is.

Yes. I am agreed. Because I experienced before. Just take note. This is due to the DOC (Dissolved Organic Carbon) will not active or dying off on acidic water.

How low of a pH are you guys dealing with? I'm using fluorite at the moment and holding the pH steady at 6.4.
