I don't know if this could help you guys or if this has any use to u but its very simple. I just accidentally observe the syringe and saw that if you tilt it and submerge the half of it to the aquarium the liquid inside leaks.

this is a 2ml syringe, with 1/4 ferts and 3/4 water mixture.

as you can see as time goes by water from the aquarium goes in the syringe and the ferts goes out.

Based on my observation it take about a couple of mins for the ferts to be dispensed totally. I know there is a simple explanation for this, i just forgot the word for the process.
I think you can use a bigger syringe to make the dispensing period longer. currently dispensing my daily does of vitamins for my crs and other shrimps!:)
