Hi guys,

Wanna share some of my shrimp tank…
This is my newest shrimp tank
Specifications :
1. Aquarium Gex rimless exterior 60x30x40 ( 72 liter)
2. Lighting Up Aqua PL 36 watt replace the tube using PL Dasz 36 watt white 8000k
3. Cooler fan Gex Turbo cooling fan M size
4. Substrate soil with fluvic combine with ( Superbee Max bactery +Ehfi Substrate eheim+bacterial Plankton local brand+powder Micro Electronics & microscopic mineral stone )
5. Water parameter before TDS 188ppm,PH 7.5,GH 7
6. Jebo canister 829 replace original media filter
7. Media Filter ( from the bottom layer Ista Natural Lava 500g + with original Jebo media filter, 2nd layer 1L Mini Quartzite Glass + 3rd layer 500g Active Bio Pearl with foam+ 4th POROUS CERAMIC RING/ ANTI AMONIA ZEOLITE 0.5Liter + 5th original foam media)

I set the bottom with the most porous media and followed by the displacement of the intermediate shaft to the smallest

After Filled the water I remove the water trap on soil.

ahhh i;m still learning to creating a good aquascape layout.....i'm still learning each character plant,growth, plants requirements, and trimming for aquascape. that's why i never post my journal aquascape here.....because for me is still far away from perfect....and many people have more talented skill than me.......:)

for shrimps i will let in some of shrimps Pure Line....... some of the entry lvl and will have 2 pcs hi grade.....let's hope they survive first.........because have a deadline for shrimps coming....that's why i rush....to cycling as soon as possible......:)

anyway update for today......

i put some blackpearl media because yesterday i check has a bad smells on my canister...that's why i put them .......

and no3 is still at i'm expecting....hope will be good at the next days

Yes I already used plankton bacteria before for my aquascaping and some of my shrimps tank. It's good for shrimplets I hear that from my LFS. And I saw from the testimonial who have been used tthis product is always using this plankton bacterial to try kick cycling and later for shrimplets food.

Btw now my tank is already clear enough and the cycling is perfect only 3 days, two days ago I already put my shrimps there and looks good. Now some shrimps already molting.

Wait tomorrow I will update more details.

after four days cycling, i'm so happy with the system......

it's really good for cycling to rush put the shrimps......

already adding 20 ml mosura mineral plus to raise GH from 2 to 3

and adding some of active shrimps water to give the shrimps not stress....:)

Your shrimp have amazingly solid white coloration; I'm guessing they're PRLs.

What brand of soil are you using? In the video it looks like black Akadama, but I'm pretty sure it only comes in the standard brown color. I also thought I saw another one of your posts where you claimed that the soil you are using actively reduces TDS.

Overall, it's a very high tech and intricate setup. Please keep us updated!!!

yes they're PRL strain...
no its'nt akadama soil that's soil some of them black soil with fulvic and mixed with the normal soil
the soil reduce GH from 7 until 2.....from my tap water.....sure i will update every detail......

yes only 10 days exactly. because shrimp coming at 13march 2011. and some of them already berried eggs.

here's the update for shrimplets..........already have 18 shrimplets now...and they getting bigger.......i also noticed when they are one old week age they're pattern and colouration getting better rather than newest born. :D

imke i thought that wouldn't be a wine red......i dunno for the father for this shrimps......because i already have it a female with berried egg......and i thought that wouldn't be a RKK gen because in the gallery they're divided the tank for BKK/RKK and CRS......

well just hope so it would be a wine REd shrimplets.......lol

Hi bro,shrimps that have high grades cant always give out high grades babies...for example my tank has SSSxSSS and i still occasionally get S/SS grades...another possibility is that when the baby grow bigger the patterns will change to maybe SS patterns...
and that's not a red wine...hehe :)
