its a good start... but why do you need co2 since you only have a few plants? what are the things you're planning to put?

based on my experience you do need co2 even if you only have few plants like mine. my co2 runs for 1/2 bps per sec. upon cheking my co2 level its always at sufficient level, during night and normal duing morning when i turn on the lights and it never goes overdose of co2. having co2 also saves money cause you can water change
every 2 weeks. if you dont have it you will need to change your water every week or elese you will eventualy have algae.
it is also cheaper than diy co2 and way way better than co2 tablets which doesnt work!!

I would suggest you to place your measuring kit, themometer at the side of the tank. It's getting attention and people would rather find out what those thing are.

internal filter for the co2 to disperse through out the tank. As you can see its right below the water outlet (which is tilted a little bit down) so when the co2 goes up from the diffuser,it goes with the flow!

to cultivate good bacteria i filled my HOF with ceramic rings to eat out nitrates and the likes.
My DIY

First my shrimp hide out made from ceramic rings!!just glue gun it together!
Second my fail attempt to mimic a miro moss ball!

Bro I suggest you take out the internal filter would be nicer. Why don't you try using exterior top filter and place the diffuser right below the outlet in order to circulate the flow of CO2? I feel your current setup of the interior filter taking up much space thus making your tank look crump.
Just my 2 cents

Reddish looking stem plant could be ludwigia brevipes or rotala macrandra "green".
Nice looking tank.

Nice landscaping. I like the tree technique. I know it will change over time as plants grow and hide things, but it seems like there are too many distractions (filter, tubes, thermometer, etc.) In my opinion, I would get all that stuff on the sides toward the back of the tank, and get some moss or stem plants to hide it. The tree that you made has a great realism to it, why not get the whole tank to have that zen landscape feel. Or maybe that is your intention, it is just too early in the development stages.
Either way, you have a great start and I look forward to see how it evolves
