Hi guys, i would like to enquire about how many shrimps can i accommodate in my 30cm by 30cm by 30cm tank? Filtration would be a Hang on Back filter with a sponge filter attached to its inlet. Temp about 27.5 C. Lighting, 13watt PL light. Planning to keep cherries and CRS. With Taiwan moss and Nana petite. Thanks to the inspiration of a colleague. :) Thanks joe. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi,
your plans are good and it should work, more or less. The cherry shrimps will be fine in this tank but for the CR the tmperature is pretty high. So you have to control the population of the cherry shrimps, the CR won't breed that much at all.
You can keep aout 15-20 specimen of both species in this tank, if they are the only inhabitants. A few dozens of shrimplets will also be ok but I won't keep more than 40 adult shrimps in this tank. Overcrowding will lead to less breeding and in the end you will loose more shrimps than new ones will grow up in the same time.
regards

I think it would look good if it is a CRS only tank.

NanoDave,
Not really hv to maintain at 24C for CRS. I found my shrimp breeding which including the CRS in temp of 30C. (My fans was just burnt up after i itchy hand and swap the adapter.)
