This tank of yours is cool. I've also kinda noticed that there are usually less or no plants for Sulawesi tanks. Just sand and rock. I just got a slighly bigger tank, am thinking of setting up my old tank just for Sulawesis :P

Serious? I used to keep 3 of them together with my CRS in soil. They lasted awhile and slowly die one by one......
Thanks for the help first ya :)

Ahhh cause the ph of that tank is too low? Crs need the lower side whereas sulawesi types need the higher side. :) that's why coral sand is one of the more common type of substrate.

That's a type of coral from philipines, from crs haven. Yeaa harlequins are sensitive. :) I got the shrimps from crs haven too! The deaths are just yellow rings/cheeks and fortunately all has stabilised. Im also using the range from mosura like bioplus, eros, gravidas, old sea mud rock, tonic pro. :) bro, from what I know, lava rocks can't leech anything and the rock im using is some sulawesi rock instead and way expensive. Lol!

Quite expensive compared to other LFS.
Actually sulawesi shrimp can be easy if the water parameter is right.

Hi Ezie,
Congratulations buddy ,liked you set up a lot and also feeling envy :P
Can you share some details of your tank, I am setting up a sulawesi tank this week end and will cycle it for 2 months :)
Decreasing the hardness is fine for me, but increasing the ph without affecting the tds I am still confused
I will be using white sand+ 1/2 kg of coral sand. Will it work?
