Dear all,
I just found one of my female red nose carrying eggs. Anyone successfully bred them before? What i heard or read from article said the shrimplets are able to survive in brackish water. It that true?
The tank water is kinda...dirty. Due to i just top up the water and feeding twice per day. They are living together with Lamp eyes, cherry shrimps, Banana shrimps, hybrid, green and tiger shrimps.

Thanks. Too bad. The pictures inside there has been removed. I saw the simliar larvae in another shrimp breed tank before. (There are 3 female with eggs.) Will other shrimp attack the larvae?

I did not see other shrimps attack or try to eat larvae, which usually floating around on top of tank. I had cherry, tiger, and green in the tank with red nose.

Are the larvae able to survive in the water same with the rest of yr shrimp? From the article, said the salinity level is higher for larvae to grow.

The Larvae died off after 3-5 days. I knew it wont survive in freshwater, and I wasnt plan to breed them since I read they require certain salinity level in order to pass the larvae stage.
If you going to try it, I suggest you have an extra tank ready for
raising the larvae. That way it wont affect your main shrimp tank. Good luck!

Just look for a "Hydrometer" in the saltwater section of your fish store.
