Well I just arrived home from work this morning and noticed one of my female cherries looking very odd. I have over a hundered cherry shrimp in my 7 shrimp only tanks and have never seen this before.
Its eyes are green! They are not black like all the others.
Also its saddle of eggs is not a saddle but continues all down the length of her body. Perhaps the eggs are moving to their fertilized position and i have never noticed this before?
I have tried to get some pics but nothing worth posting is available yet.
The greenish eyes are very unique. Perhaps this one shrimp is deformed or something. I hope I can get a pic but I am way to exausted at the moment.
Any opinions?
Thanks.

Hi Dwaffer, it seems RCS eyes can sometimes look jade green; is that the color you saw? They usually appear black, but in certain lighting situations, you can see that what look like pupils are constricted and the rest of their eye is green. So if it's that, it should be normal.

In different lighting situation - looks black:

Another example of green eyes:

Will have to wait until you post pics to see what you mean, especially about the saddle. Maybe someone will have opinion then. Hopefully the said shrimp is acting normally - eating, etc. and is okay. :)
