View Full Version : White Orchid Shrimps

Finally got some white orchid shrimps. They are the only shrimps that comes out in the day all the time! When they sense danger, they stop moving, and totally blend in with the granite stones. I think this is why they are more adventurous. They seemed to be berried very often, and is easy to breed. Their shrimplets are also very outgoing.
One of the most rewarding sulawesi species for the following reason:
1. Very hardy. No casualty at all
2. Can be seen in the day
3. Very nice colours and design
4. Breeds very well
5. Does not retreat too much when human approaches tank

Good looking shrimp, I'll keep them in mind if I can get here.

Do you keep them with other shrimp?

Yes, I do keep them with the other shrimps. They are always out in the open in the day, while the rest are hiding.

Where did you bought them? Are expensive?

Can you please tell us about your set up with the active soil? How do you battle the active soil trying to lower your Ph? Also what are your water params?

The PH is about 8.0 to 8.5
I only feed the shrimps once every 4 days now.

Congratulations and well done with breeding this beautiful shrimp! I would love to try these some day :)
